An exciting opportunity to explore and interpret different media with established and sought after local artist. NACNet obtained a grant through CASP funding (Regional Arts NSW and Create NSW) to present a series of 3 workshops, entitled NARRANDERA INTERFACE with local artist, Jo Southorn. WORKSHOP 1 (19 & 10 August) This first workshop will inform the body of work participants will create across different media. Participants will create an art journal, draw with different media on different papers and plant print on silk and cotton. WORKSHOP 2 (16 & 17 September) Relief printmaking where participants will make a selection of foam, lino, craftwood and collagraph plate and print them on different papers and fabric. Using some of the materials generated so far participants will start to create their artists book. WORKSHOP 3 (7 & 8 October) Participants will finish putting their artists book together using a variety of methods; concertina, cut and fold and stitched signatures as well as finishing working with their silk stitching and printing. Cost for the 3 workshops is $150pp NACNet members $300 pp non members (annual NACNet membership $10, so you can join and save). All materials included in workshop cost.
